Playing Experience

Nick was a four-year letter-winner at Army (West Point) for lacrosse.  He was named All Patriot League First Team Defense his senior year, as well as earning the Jack Rust Award at Army as the top defensive performer.  He helped lead the defense on the Army team as they won two Patriot League Championships in his junior and senior year, and qualified and played in the NCAA tournament his senior year.   He was awarded the Superintendent’s Award at West Point his junior and senior year as he was in the top 15% of his class for academic, physical fitness, and military achievement.

After his time at West Point, Nick served in the Active Duty Army as an Infantry Officer.  He earned Airborne, Ranger, and Combat Infantryman credentials.  He spent over 44 months in the Iraq Combat Zone and was awarded two Bronze Star Medals for leadership under fire.  He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his time in service upon his honorable discharge as a Captain.

Prior to West Point, Nick excelled in three sports during high school (lacrosse, ice hockey and soccer).  He helped propel his ice hockey team to a County Championship his junior year.  He was a two-year Captain, two-time All County All Star (11^th and 12^th), and team MVP  (12^th) for ice hockey.  In lacrosse, Nick was named All Conference his junior season and Honorable Mention All County his senior season as he led a defensive unit that pushed Massapequa to win the County Championship his senior year.

Why I Coach Mooselax:

The Mooselax program gets it right with youth sports.  The game of lacrosse gave me so much but also taught me so many valuable character traits – leadership, discipline, hard work, perseverance – and the value of team.  I am proud to coach with a program that is helping to instill these traits in the next generation.
