Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, coach Brust grew up playing club lacrosse for the Baltimore Crabs. He also attended Calvert Hall High School where he won an MIAA Championship in 2012. He then went on to play at Quinnipiac University, where he was a 3-year starter and 2-time team captain. Some of his accolades there include: 2015 All MAAC Tournament Team selection, 2x All MAAC second team selection (2016 & 2017), 2016 MAAC Championship, 2016 MAAC Tournament MVP, 2016 Quinnipiac Men’s Lacrosse MVP and 2017 Inside Lacrosse Pre-season all American. In addition to his playing career, Coach Brust was a long-time coach for the Baltimore Crabs – beginning in high school and continuing through his post-collegiate career – where specialized in goalie training across the program. He has a strong passion for the game and is excited to share this passion with the Mooselax Herd!
